Roofs and trees
Green Mountain and the neighborhoods up against the hogback have a lot of pine and spruce. Needles hold moisture on the roof, and that's where moss and algae get started. We soft wash a lot of roofs here: a cleaning solution at low pressure, then a rinse. No pressure washer on the shingles.
Decks
Pine sap on decks is a common call. It takes a solvent and some hand scrubbing before the normal wood clean. Plan on two to three days of drying before you stain.
Sloped lots
Plenty of Lakewood lots are on a hill. We set the trailer up on flat ground, run hose to the work, and use ladder levelers where we need them. Steep walks and stairs get cleaned from the top down, so the dirty water doesn't run over what we've already done.

Lakewood questions
My roof has moss on it. Is it too late?
Usually not. We treat it, brush off what comes loose safely, and the rest dies off over a few weeks. If shingles are lifting, you'll want a roofer to look too.
Do you work around Belmar?
Yes. Homes nearby, and some of the retail too.
How often does a roof need a soft wash?
Every three to five years for most Lakewood roofs. Under heavy trees it can come back sooner.
